Delete your account
Last updated: 3 November 2026.
You can delete your Weby account and the data that goes with it, from the app or without installing it. This page states exactly what goes and what stays.
1. From the app
- On the scanner screen, tap the Compte (Account) button (the silhouette), at the top left, next to the map button.
- Tap Supprimer mon compte (Delete my account), then confirm with Supprimer (Delete).
Deletion is immediate: it runs while you wait, and your session is closed straight after. There is no cooling-off period and it cannot be undone.
For a store account (owner, or member of a team), write to us (section 2). The owner of a store cannot delete their account while the store is on Weby: the store is removed first, then the account is deleted.
2. Without the app
Write to suppression@tryweby.com from the email address of your Weby account, with the word "deletion" in the subject. That is all it takes: the sending address is enough to identify the account.
If you write from a different address, you will be asked to confirm from the account's address, because we will not delete somebody's account on a bare request.
The account is deleted within 30 days at most, and in practice within a few working days. You receive a confirmation once it is done.
3. What is deleted
- your sign-in account and your email address, and your Apple or Google identifier if you signed in with them (for an account opened with Apple, Weby's access is also revoked with Apple);
- your first and last name;
- your baskets that were not paid;
- your customer record at Stripe, with the cards you had saved;
- your device's notification token, if there was one;
- for a member of a store's team: their access to the store, and the invitation codes they had tried in vain.
Your location is not on this list because Weby never keeps it.
4. What is kept, and why
Your receipts stay in the stores' sales journals, with no link to you. A receipt carries neither your name nor your email: the store, the date, the number, the items, the totals, the VAT and the payment method (card brand and its last 4 digits). The law requires the store to keep its till records without altering them. After the deletion, nothing links these receipts to you any more.
- Your paid baskets, your payments and the exit checks, kept with the receipts, also detached from your identity.
- For a member of a store's team: the record that an account, now anonymous, was part of the team. The catalogue imports and invitations they made stay with the store, without their name.
Everything else goes. After a deletion, searching for your first and last name across the whole database, the authentication service and the storage areas returns nothing, save an invoice from the previous version (section 5). This check is not a promise: it is replayed automatically on every change to the code.
5. If you used Weby before version 2.0
Until version 2.0, Weby was used to book and order in restaurants and bars. If your account dates from that period, deletion also removes:
- your phone number, your city and your saved location;
- your profile photo, and the file itself in storage;
- your preferred categories, your Discover settings and the cards you dismissed;
- your favourites and the businesses you followed;
- the notes you had left for businesses (allergy, special request), on your bookings and on your orders;
- the notifications you had received;
- the content you had reported, and blocks in both directions: those you set as well as those set on you;
- your name on your reviews, which become anonymous, and the photo shown with them.
Your upcoming bookings are cancelled, and your open orders that were not settled are closed.
Invoices already issued stay, with the name and email you had at the time of issue. An invoice is an accounting record: altering it after the fact would be falsification, and the law requires it to be kept. This is the only piece of identifying data that survives the deletion of your account.
- The text of your reviews, which stays readable but is no longer signed: it shows under "Deleted customer", with no photo.
- Your past bookings and orders, along with the matching payments, kept in the business's records but detached from your identity.
